If I’ve heard it once I’ve heard it a hundred times. It seems like there are a lot of “hot” horses in Morgans. Particularly when it comes to certain bloodlines. I have personal experience with this as I’ve described my mare as “flighty” or “sensitive” a number of times. But today I came across this article that puts things in perspective a bit for me. I think many of us in the Morgan world, particularly those of us who are not professionals and don’t work with horses every day for a living, could get some benefit out of these concepts. I know it makes me think of my horse in a slightly different way than I have before. I’m excited to take this information with me next time I work with her.
Um, what article?
I linked to it on the words “this article” I probably should’ve made it more obvious. Here’s the url: http://equisearch.com/horses_care/health/behavior/horse_personality_types_041610/
That was a very neat article. Thanks for sharing. I definately have an “over-achiever” funny how that is exactly how I work with her. Constantly changing things around so she doesn’t give me the adorable, “Nikki, you’re an idiot” face.
