How do I register?

At the top of the middle column you’ll see a link for registration. Click on this link, and you’ll be taken to a page that requires only a username and email address to register. We’ll send you a password, and you can start posting.

How do I change my password?

Log on with your username and the password sent to your email by Above Level. Once you have successfully entered the site, click on “Write Post” located below your username at the far right of the screen. This will take you to the Dashboard where you can click on “Profile”. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the area to change your password.   Be sure to click “Update User” once you are done.

What if I forget my password?

To obtain a new password, click on “Lost your password?” located below the “Register/Login” area to the right of the screen. You will be asked for your username and email address, after which you will be sent a new password.

How do I comment on an existing Post?

To comment you must first be a registered user. After you have registered log onto the blog and click on “comment” locate below the title of the post of interest. Scroll down to the end of the comment page where you will find a box in which to enter your comment. Type in your comment then click on “Submit Comment” to publish it. If you comment without registering, a box for your email address will appear. Your email address is only available to the administrator of the blog and will not be available to any other blog user.

How do I write a new Post?

To submit a new post, click on “Write Post” located below your username to the right of the screen. A page will appear where you can enter your title and text. Once you are finished you can preview your post or publish it. If you wish to embed video or pictures this is the option you should choose. DO NOT PASTE FROM ANY OTHER APPLICATION (Microsoft Word, webpage…)INTO THIS WINDOW. IT WILL CHANGE THE BLOG FORMAT AND WE WILL NEED TO DELETE THE POST.

What are “Allowable Tags”?

Allowable Tags are symbols and letters for HTML code which are located below the title box of the “Submit a Post” page. If you are familiar with HTML code feel free to use the Allowable Tags but if you are not, you can disregard them.

What is the difference between the Free Classifieds and paid Advertising?

Anyone can post a classfied ad for whatever they are selling.  Adding video and photos are free.  When you post, it will show up on the “Home” page and stay there until other, newer posts push it down to the bottom.  Eventually it leaves the “Home” page and can then be found in the “Classifieds” category.  Free classified Ads can also be posted in the Forums.  Click on “Go To Forums” to enter that area of the blog.

Ads that are purchased are found on every blog page no matter what category or post is showing (the only exception being a full page ad).  They include the large photo and text classifieds in the far right column and the small photos in the middle column.  For more information about paid advertising see “Advertising“.
