HVK Rolling Thunder- FOR SALE

We have decided after serious consideration that we will offer HVK Rolling Thunder (Max) for sale.  Max is by HVK Bellweather and out of HVK Radiant, which makes him a sibling to many world champions.

He is bay and a solid 15.2, pretty and athletic.  He has been worked and people have been on him but he is not broke, although it sure wouldn’t take much.  He loves to have a job.  He would make a wonderful English pleasure or classic horse.

He is currently still a stud and has 2 nice fillies and an exceptional colt on the ground.  The colt took 4th at the very competitive Michigan Morgan Futurity 2 years ago and most people there thought he should have won.

As my dad, who does most of the handling and care of the horses, is now in his 60’s and the economy we have decided that finding Max a home where someone will either use him or geld him would be the best thing.  He is just too nice to sit around the farm.

Offers will be considered.  Asking 6500.00.  He is good for the vet and farrier.  He is easy to handle to hand bred and he has never been taught to collect.  He is handled almost daily by teens and is just a good boy.

There are several pictures of him on my outdated website.  www.upnorthmorgans.com.  There is also a link to the farm in the links listing on this website.

Please contact me if you are interested.  He could easily be ready for the end of show season this year and go to OKC.  I can see him gelded and made into a wonderful junior exhibitor horse in EP!!!  He would be a great new fresh face!!

Thanks, Missy

Black will be at Morgan Grand Nationals for anyone who wishes to see him or try him out! He will be located in Barn 3 at the Marlett Stables setup. We look forward to seeing you!

A fresh face in the Classic division!

This dynamic gelding will take any rider to the top with his commanding show ring presence. His bold “look at me” attitude makes him an exceptional amateur horse, and, with his phenomenal personality, “Black” would also make an outstanding junior exhibitor horse. This beautiful gelding was moved from the Hunter Pleasure division into the Classic Pleasure division for the 2009 show season and is making it known that this is where he not only belongs, but excels.

In his first year in the Classic Pleasure Saddle division, Black has racked up victories in Ladies Classic Pleasure Saddle, as well as Open Classic Pleasure Saddle, including a Reserve Champion victory in a competitive class at the North Star Morgan show. As well as a commanding saddle horse, Black is regularly driven at home and would be a prominent contender in the Classic Pleasure Driving division for amateurs and junior exhibitors alike. He also shows great promise for a future equitation horse.

Wins aside, Black is an extremely personable and affectionate horse who loves nothing more than interacting with people. It is his fun-loving, sweet, and friendly disposition that makes him a true winner. His ground manners are exemplary, his “in-your-pocket” personality makes him a joy to have in the barn, and his disciplined work ethic is a trait long sought after.

Whether you are looking for a saddle horse or a driving partner, Black is always ready to work and loves to show off. His pure enthusiasm and love for the show ring is a huge bonus, and, with a bright future ahead of him, this talented horse is only getting better with age. He improves with every show.

Come visit Black or hop on for a test ride in Oklahoma City at the Morgan Grand National horse show. You can find him at the Marlett Stables setup. We look forward to seeing you!!

Regrettably offered for sale due to student going to college. Will be shown until sold.

Let’s Get Byzy (Stonecroft Byzantine x RBC Leah) – aka “Chad”.  2006 Black-Bey Gelding.  Following a stellar debut season in 2008, in which his more notable accomplishments included being Reserve National Champion Hunter Pleasure Gelding, World Top 4 Hunter Pleasure, the Prairie State Classic Hunter Pleasure Grand Champion and Stallion & Gelding Hunter Pleasure Champion, and the Saddle Horse Report Grand Champion Hunter Pleasure, he has followed it up with some remarkable 2009 performances.  Teamed with an amateur, he has been Grand Champion Hunter Pleasure Amateur and the Hunter Pleasure Amateur qualifier winner at the Morgan Masterpiece Horse Show, as well as being Reserve in Hunter Pleasure Ladies.

Showring accomplishments aside, “Chad” is a personable, super friendly guy who truly loves his people.  He is a perfect gentleman on the ground, and is so easy for clipping, grooming, shoeing, tying, and bathing that just about anyone can do it.  Under saddle, he is clearly a talented individual that will be at the top in any division in the Hunter Pleasure field – whether it’s with a Jr Exhibitor, Amateur, or as an Open horse with the experienced rider.  He is easy to work, fun to show, and wonderful to be around.  He would also make an excellent dressage prospect if the main ring is not your particular cup of tea.

Reasonably priced.  Video available.  Chad will also be available for viewing and test rides at the Morgan Grand National in Oklahoma City.

Great Youth Gelding for sale

Ancan Always and Forever (Forevermore x FCF Snapdragon) is a 7 year old 14.3 hand bay gelding.  Ev has that golden retriever personality and “I want to please you” attitude.  I originally bought him to be my amateur western pleasure horse but after a couple months in training, I realized that he would be much better suited for the w/t or 13 and under divisions.  I also found the horse of my dreams which of course comes with a very large price tag, or else Ev would never be for sale.

Ev has been trail ridden and is not spooky or hot. He is not a big fan of crossing water, but will reluctantly do it just to make his rider happy! LOL.

My 11 year old daughter rides him without any problems.  He is current on normal vaccines including rabies and WNV, farrier and worming.  No one will ever wonder what breed of horse he is as he screams “I am a typey Morgan Horse!”

Email for pictures.
