Attention color experts…

I was having a discussion with a friend of mine (not of the Morgan breed) and the subject of brindled horses came up.  Is this a registerable trait within the AMHA?  Is it like the high white/pinto rule, where it was not allowed previously but may be in the future?  Is brindling considered a possibility within the Morgan breed?
