Syracuse International Annouces Date Changes

 2010′s Syracuse International Horse Show in Syracuse NY will be held JUNE 16th-19th…..

Is it me or does it seem that is has been quiet on Above Level lately?

So, I’ll ask a question, if you are going to OKL what are you most looking forward to?

Today we lost a dear friend and Morgan lover, Kenton Wood.

I know alot of you know Kenton and his wife Katrina of Graywood Stables.

Those of you that do not probably remember their beloved mare UVM Columbine.

Kenton succumbed to cancer today, after many months of a ferocious battle he and his wife Katrina fought.  He is with the angels now, no longer in pain.  Remember him for the strong, loving, fun,generous and kind man he was.

Please post any wonderful memories you may have with them, later we can send them to Katrina.

I for one, am looking forward to New England…..anyone else?  What is your favorite part of the show?  For me it is the friends, the ring, the quality of horses, the fun and Woodys Lemonade! And watching my daughter and our boy show in huge classes……=)

Last year just watching at Okl we stayed at the Hilton Garden.  This year we are an exhibitor so staying much longer, therefore looking for something a bit less.  The La Quinta Inn was across from us and I kept saying it looked decent but never went to check it out.  Has anyone stayed there?

From Above Level

In the post a few above it was mentioned a picture still “floating” around……it has surfaced.  I know I am decked out with my rainboots with horse shoes on them this year so I am prepared to help if needed.  And we will pray for only sprinkles this year………..

I am probably opening a can of worms here…but here it goes.  So many of us where vocal about the 2008 show, whether it be the judging system, the weather, the facilities, etc…..  I am curious as to how many of us have it on our schedule for 2009.  I will say it is in our plans. In so many ways it is such a fun show and the quality of competition is there……any thoughts?

Wow Beth you must be so proud of what this blog has become!  I know I am on here every day, and I usually frequent the site more than once a day.  Now that more and more other bloggers are doing the same there are alot more comments and interaction.  But now say I am not on until the evening, there are alot more “recent comments” than you can list, so if I want to see what anyone has made new comments about it would take a lengthy amount of time to go through.  Is there a way to change that section on the home page to something like “todays comments” and maybe link it to another page, this would show just what you have now but all the comments for the day?  And it would free up some space on the home page for you to do something else.  Just a suggestion.  Have a great day everyone! =)  Michele
