Morgans need homes!

Contact Anne Wyland ( www.AncanMorgans.com ) if interested in any of these horses:

I have been contacted by a lady in need. She has bred and raised Morgans
for 20 years and due to her failing health and loss of income, she can no
longer care for her horses. She asked me to please spread the word and
hopefully find good homes for them.

She has all ages, from coming yearling to senior, mares, colts, fillies,
stallions, and a gelding. These are “show bred” Morgans from popular
bloodlines. Some have been trained and shown, some are the offspring of
those.

They are all purebred Morgans, although several are eligible for
registration only- the paperwork has not been submitted.

The owner went through an ugly divorce 3 years ago and as such hid the
papers on a couple of the horses – and now forgets where she put their
papers. Those ARE registered, but will need to apply for copies of the
original papers.

Everything is in order on the horses she has registration papers for and she
is more than willing to sign what ever forms necessary to the AMHA for
getting papers on all of the horses. However, the expense can not be hers.

I’ve seen photos of the horses. They are not in starvation/neglect
condition, although one was thin (I could see ribs).

Owner has asked to remain anonymous due to the situation and being ashamed
and embarrassed.

Before anyone attempts to beat her up – please realize that she hasn’t
intentionally bred a horse in four years. There has been occasion when a
stallion got lose and bred a couple mares – but it was not intentional.

Please, just realize that she has stepped forward in attempt to find good
homes for these horses before the horses suffer.

Her health and age have forced her to quit working – so she would like to
get a few hundred dollars for some of the horses; she needs the income to
survive. The majority of her collection she is willing to give to good
homes; free.

Most of the horses are untrained to ride/drive. All but three of the
youngest lead, tie and stand for farrier work. They are all very people
oriented and friendly. The stallions are very mannerly and kind as well.

They are located about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA. They need to be
rehomed asap as she bought four round bales of hay today and has very little
money to survive with from this point on. She has no barn help either – and
just doesn’t have the health to care for them any longer. She told me she
needs them placed, like yesterday.

She has asked me to screen her inquiries ~ so, if you are interested, please
contact me. I have a few pictures that her friend took and sent to me, but
I’m in the process of sorting through those with the owner to determine who
is whom.

I’m listing the horses with the information she has given me. I have not
personally seen the horses – but was told they are all in pretty good
condition and friendly. I’m afraid I no additional information than what
I’m posting in the individual’s descriptions below. If you have further
questions – I will ask the owner and get back to you asap.

Thank you for your interest and willingness to help. Remember, these
Morgans need to be placed in new homes as soon as possible.
