Four Beating in Western Classes

Four beating and winning in Morgan Western Pleasure, should this be happening?   Should this be considered a major fault when judging Morgans? I would be interested in other people’s comments on this, other than perhaps it is one judges opinion. Karen

How to Show as an Amateur

Ok, it would seem the Curmudgeon Commentary -> Difference between Ladies and Amateur Judging has spawned another topic. I would guess that the amateurs who are least likely to have the ideal amateur horse would be those of us who … Continue reading

Possibly stolen Morgan mare

Kind of a long shot, but I’ve got to put it out there. http://www.netposse.com/stolenmissing/missing_1/AshleyNYmissingApr2010.html The flyer says the DOB is 1999 but lists the age as 19. Based on the graying on the mare’s face, I’m guessing the age is … Continue reading

This started under a different thread, but interested in everyone’s belief in the difference that should be seen between a ladies class and an amateur class aside from the obvious lack of testosterone in the ladies.  I understand the horse … Continue reading

Updates to Mid-Atlantic

Apparently the Mid-Atlantic horse show has re-vamped their class schedule from last year, adding a number of classes, but I don’t know if they’ve removed anything. AMHA has more details here: http://www.morganhorse.com/news_events/latest_news/mida_update/ And for more show information, class list, etc, … Continue reading
