I’m new to this blog thing and looking for information on the Continental Divide Morgan Club.  I have search for their web page but nothing works.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy an English Pleasure horse at one of the Morgan sales/auctions (i.e. Signature Sale in April) and import it from the United States into Canada. I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about doing this (i.e. make sure I have all the right paper work to get across the border? Would I have to leave the horse after the sale? etc.).

Any information would be very much appreciated!!!

Western saddle

I’m looking at a Circle Y saddle for my Morgan . It has semi quarter bars. This is my first experience with western, so I was just wondering what other people’s opinions are about Circle Y’s. Any feedback will be appreciated! If Circle Y is not a good fit for Morgans, what brand is? I’m on a budget…$1000 or less.

Hunt Morgan Showmanship

I moved my little morgan mare from saddleseat riding to huntseat riding.  I would like to switch her over to huntseat showmanship as well, but I’m not sure how its done.  How do morgans stand, do they stretch out or square up?  We mostly show open circuts and some 4-H shows because she is not full morgan, but i show her morgan because thats what she looks like.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!!!

The annual tack sale is coming up fast and is by far the best tack sale in the state. Now held at Pinckney High School in Pinckney, MI, which means there is more parking and more spaces available. Everything from show and work tack to jewelry and clothing can be found, both new and used. Tables still available, heres the website for more information.

2010 Convention

I’m going to be attending the AMHA convention for the first time this year since it’s being held in my city of residence. The complete convention package is a bit pricey, so I’m trying to decide which two days to attend. I’d really like to go on the farm tours on Thursday, but then I have to choose between Friday and Saturday. I’m leaning toward Saturday, but I’m wondering if anyone has any insight into the programs.

Also, the registration form has a separate ticket for “Saturday Evening Award Luncheon,” but since the luncheon is included with a Saturday ticket, I’m guessing the separate ticket is actually for the Stallion Service Auction/Party. Is that worth going to if you’re not actually breeding horses this year (or, in my case, ever)?

And is the Wednesday night welcome reception at PlayMor open to all attendees?
