I have been in Morgans since I was eight years old. I began giving riding lessons at age nine. For 10 years I owned Walnut Hill Equestrian Centre in Springfield, MO. I now reside near Knoxville, TN with my husband (Chris), son (Lance), and twelve registered Morgans. We stand one stallion, Ken-Mar Winston. We go to two shows a year, Southern States and Blue Grass Classic. All our horses are trained by us exclusively. Chris does all the shoeing. We generally show in the classic and hunter divisions. We generally train using a round pen and in the front of the barn; we do not have training facilities at the farm. Given the status of our program, we usually do quite well in the show ring. We attribute that to the intelligence and trainability of the Winston foals. We usually have 2-3 Winston get for sale at all times.
