AMHA News

I just got my Weekly News Brief and thought there were some things worth noting. I’m pretty sure this newsletter is only sent to members, and you can unsubscribe, so I’m going to assume not everyone who comes here gets the email (or reads it even if you do get it). So, some things I’d like to highlight:

AMHA is currently offering promotional incentives for 2010 memberships. If you know anyone who is involved in Morgans, but has not been an AMHA member for 3 years or longer, get them a gift membership and get credit toward Morgan items, pretty much anything that is purchased from AMHA, magazine subscriptions, member programs, even your own membership fees (for 2011)! Check out more information here.  (And a little prodding for non-members, if you’re interested in membership, find a friend who’s a member and team up with them to help them out.  Reimburse them for the gift membership cost and maybe they’ll share their Morgan Bucks!)

Another way to support the breed is by participating in the 2009 World Morgan Futurity auction.  Online bidding is now active on a number of items including 4 advertising packages, 4 lesson packages, and 27 Trainer Service items!  I just checked out some of the listings, and there are some amazing deals on some great items/services!  But, bidding ends on November 1 (which is coming up on us faster than a speeding bullet), so get in the action now before it’s too late.  Click here for the World Morgan Futurity website!

AMHA is also currently offering an “Economic Stimulus Sale” on Registry fees, but time is running out!  Paperwork must be postmarked by October 31.  More information here.

Where do I find proofs on the web from the working hunter and dressage from Oklahoma???

Cobleskill, NY area

Hi everyone

I am considering transferring to SUNY Cobleskill to finish up my undergrad. degree next semester as out of state tuition to attend Virginia Tech is just too high since I only need two more classes to graduate. I was wondering if there are any Morgan barns in the Cobleskil area?

Thank!

~Danielle

Dale Chavez Saddle

I know alot of you show in Dale Chavez saddles.  Can anyone tell me what kind of tree they are built on, full bars, semi bars, or arabian?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone  got home from Nationals. Was very exciting for me . Western Pleasure 3yr old class was very exciting for me. My 3yr gelding got resv in the national and world classes and my friend 3yr old won the furtuity and national and world class. My trainer is Jenna Rankin. It was a 1st time Mother and daughter won champion and resv in the same class.

Happy Trails to all, and congrate to all who was at Okc

2009 Show Schedule Archived

Don’t panic! It’s still available. I have added a new Events Calendar, just go to the Events page. I’m hoping this will be a more effective way to display ALL Morgan events, not just shows. I plan to list Sales, Stallion Service Auctions, AMHA Convention, and, come next spring, Shows. Anyway, there is also a link on that page to the 2009 Show Schedule and all the results I had previously posted.

The first event is already almost upon us. Hylee Farm is having their second annual Production and Consignment auction. I’ve been to the website and it looks like they have some quality horses going through. Is anyone planning on going?

Just a note to let everyone know we have a few Trainng Stalls available this winter. Send your horse on a Florida vacation. We specialize in Saddle Seat Equitation , both horse and rider. We also train Pleasure,Park, Driving, Western Pleasure, Hunt , Driving , Hunt and Western Eq Seats, and Barrel Racing. Yes we are diversified.  We have Champions in all these divisions. Our horses get great care and personalized attention that a smaller barn can offer.  Refernces available. Looking for a good school horse. If you want to get that out grown horse off your feed bill and send him where he will be loved and cared for by kids give us a call. Must be suitable for small children and adults. Does not have to registered or even Morgan.

Videos from OKC

For those of us stuck at home last week and too poor and/or cheap to pay for the live streaming, Club Equestrian now has video highlights from OKC:

Old Patterns?

Does anyone know where I can find/if I can find equitation patterns from previous Grand Nationals? I’m starting a binder to practice with during the off season. So far I can only find the ones from this year and last year. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!
