DC Barns

Hi - Does anyone know of any Saddle Seat barns in the DC area? I’ve searched online, but can’t seem to come up with anything.

    Hi Allie,

    Unfortunately, there aren’t any that show Morgans. There are some low-level gaited horse barns around (in northern MD), and maybe even one Saddlebred breeder(used to be in the Frederick area). But if you want to ride w/other SS riders you’ll have to head down into central VA or up into PA.

    That being said, if you currently ride SS, there are a few local shows that offer SS classes (Southern MD Horse Assoc., MD Saddle Assoc., Plantation Walking Horse Club).

    Allie,

    We are located about an 1 1/2 from DC in central Delaware. I’m not sure if this helps or not. We have been in Morgans since 1982 and currently have a 5 yr old Stallion whose sire is CCR’s Outrajus Courajus. We show in the English Pleasure Division as well as the Classic Pleasure Division.
