So what are everyone’s tricks to break in new leather? I have a brand new Walsh, creakn’ stiff, russet quick hitch & it seems as though it is going to be an ordeal. I am all for short cuts in a case like this:-)
Thanks!

The best thing for new leather (besides lots of sweaty horses) is Tanners Oil. I paint it on both sides with a brush. I will sometimes use a hole punch to enlarge the holes so you don’t have to fight with the buckles on the girth, etc.
