News From Wolf Creek Ranch (Eitan and Debbie Beth-Halachmy)

(Debbie Beth-Halachmy asked me to post the following information for her-BEB)

I wanted to let all of you know that the four horsemen, Dr. Robert Miller, Jon Ensign, Eitan Beth-Halachmy and Lester Buckley, of Light Hands Horsemanship will be on Rick Lamb’s The Horse Show on RFD-TV on the dates January 20th and 25th, and again April 21st and 26th.

It is called “Profiles in Lightness.” You can go on the RFD-TV website and see the scheduled times there. Tell your friends and tune in! ( looks like Rick Lamb’s THE HORSE SHOW is on Tues. 1:00 pm eastern and Sun 8:00 am eastern, if I read that right.

The 2009 clinic is coming up end of May. You can visit the new updated website at for more information or email

We have some new special guest clinicians for 2009. Famed horseman and author Jack Brainard from Whitesboro, TX and well known and respected horseman Richard Shrake from Bend, OR will be joining us this May. We have also added a third museum tour to our Friday line up. Sat and Sun night after dinner we will be having a Cowboy Stories and Tall Tales around the campfire. You won’t want to miss this….the stories are as incredible as the horsemen who tell them. Bob, Jon, Lester and Eitan will be returning with new presentations. You can count on the same great food from the Chuck Wagon and Sawtooth Saddles will be returning along with many other select vendors. Lauren La Rue will be back with her Shameless Cowgirl Poetry. She says she will have new material and knowing Lauren it will either make us laugh or cry or maybe both. We have a few other treats in the plans for you so start saving those pennies now and plan on attending.

Oh and who doesn’t want to save money…. by booking early you save on the clinic and meals. Check out the savings on the website.

Some of you may remember that I attended the Light Hands Horsemanship Clinic last year and wrote about it on Above Level.
I would recommend it to anyone interested in becoming a better horseman. It has been my experience that I always learn something. It just depends on what I’m ready to understand.
FYI, my non-horsey husband accompanied me and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. He spent his days exploring the Santa Ynez valley from the saddle of a bicycle and having his meals with the clinic group.
