Since this community keeps on growing…

is anyone up for an introductory post? like someone said in a previous post, we could all remain anonymous, but thats not as much fun. its also good networking for those of us who are new to the morgan show world. plus, i think it would make newcomers feel more welcome if we could all put names to faces.

put as much or as little as you’d like i guess…

so i suppose i should introduce myself

my name is carley, and i work and train in southeast MI. hopefully there will be full time job somewhere for me when i graduate from michigan state in the spring. i currently own two geldings, a yearling and a two year old. my hopes are that one of them will be able to take me to the show ring at a regional and national level within the next few years, so we’ll see!

About Carley

I’m the assistant instructor and trainer at Twin Elm Training, under Bobbie Jo Graham. We are located in Northville, MI and offer lessons, boarding, training and showing. We speciailize in mostly morgans, although our barn also includes arabs, saddlebreds and national show horses. We attend class “A” morgan shows, along with the MHSA shows and a random open show here and there. We also attend tournament shows throughout the winter months. Our lesson program offers hunt, western and saddleseat lessons from novice up to advanced riders on seasoned school and show horses. Feel free to check out our website TwinElmTraining.com.

Good call, Carley. I just set up a place for this in the “Forums“. Even if users don’t want to use there real name, other information would be interesting (how many Morgans you own, what discipline(s) you ride/drive…). I hope we get a lot of participation.

  2. Should i edit the original post to direct people to the forum?

I just put a link in the comment. I think it will be seen, plus I will follow up on it to remind folks. Thanks for the post!

Sounds great to me. I plan on doing one when I’m not so fatigued…

I am still not sure I understand the distinction between this and the forums, but just tried both. :)

Was very surprised to see that there are over 400 members and really hope members introduce themselves even if they use an acronym or anon signature.
