Wheat State Regional Morgan Horse Show

The Expo Center at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas is the venue for the Wheat State Regional Morgan Horse Show being held June 12-15, 2008. The judges for the show are Lyle Wich, Hugo, MN, Page Hinds-Athan, Wellington, FL (Dressage); and Susan Rumbaugh Tullock (Reining).  There is a full schedule of classes during the week with the Dressage Division being held on Wednesday this year.

High Point Awards are offered in the Dressage, Carriage and Youth Divisions and all Junior Exhibitor classes, except the AMHA Medal class, will count towards the Youth High Point Award. There are also several Special Awards and Trophies in a variety of divisions including Hunter, Western, Classic, Roadster To Bike and even in the Egg Marathon.

    • New England Area Equine Affaire

    Our own Chris Cassenti, a frequent contributer to Above Level, has been confirmed as clinician for the 11th annual New England Equine Affaire for 2008. Chris will be teaching Saddleseat English Pleasure using MORGAN horses, of course.

    The Equine Affaire is an annual event held three times a year in various cities. The New England event will be November 13-16, 2008 at the Eastern States grounds in W. Springfield, Mass.  For more information or to purchase tickets go to www.equineaffaire.com.
