Equine Emergency Class Offered at Ohio State University

Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine is offering an Equine emergency class in their continuing education series. The class will be held on April 29, 2008 in Columbus, OH. The course description from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine website is as follows:

The Equine Owner, Breeder and Caretaker Continuing Education Series is designed to provide timely and practical updates on equine healthcare topics from a diverse group of equine veterinarians with a broad expertise and experience in various aspects of horse health, well-being and performance.

This session will cover Equine ER. Equine veterinarians from The Ohio State University will lecture on how to be prepared for an emergency, and what to do in case your horse has a medical emergency, such as a cut, trouble walking or colic. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and speak with the equine veterinarians after the lectures.

Speakers include veterinarians specializing in such areas as lameness, respiratory issues, critical care, surgery, and internal medicine. For more information about the speakers and registration information see the OSU website.
