Chrislar Farm sponsors Employee In 2008 Marathon
               “Train To End Stroke” Program

What does the Chrislar Farm “Stable Of Stars” have to do with a marathon scheduled for June 29, 2008 in Kona, Hawaii?? The connection lies with one of the staff at the Farm. Victoria (Vicky) McKillop is entered and in training to participate in a ½ marathon (13.1 miles) to benefit the American Stroke Association’s “Train to End Stroke” Program. The Kona course follows the same route as the Ironman triathalon race. It was clear to Vicky how important this Association was as she witnessed the Cassenti’s concern for the legendary Morgan trainer, Judy Whitney, who suffered a stroke last June. Chris and Larry Cassenti are 100% behind this effort and encourage anyone and everyone to “sponsor” Vicky as well.

Vicky has many interests in addition to her passion for horses. She has always been athletic; track, soccer, dance, gymnastics, as well as drama and chorus … why she was even involved in the horse related scenes as a “Wrangler” in the filming of Pink Panther II this summer!!!

The goal of the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association, is to reduce disability and death from stroke through research, education and advocacy. Funds raised from this effort will go toward critical stroke research and the promotion of awareness of stroke warning signs. About 700,000 Americans suffer a new or recurrent stroke every year, many cases resulting in death — more than 60 percent of stroke victims are women.

Please help Vicky reach her fundraising goal of $4,900!!! You can visit her website at Or, stop by and see her at Chrislar Farm!!! Vicky is truly a “STAR”!!!
