Adult Showmanship?

Does anyone know why the morgans don’t offer showmanship for adults? At QH shows the adult showmanship classes are packed and it gives people something else to work on with their horses.

Am I the only one who misses doing showmanship with my horses?

I have wondered that myself (although God knows I have NO business in entering one :0)!!)

Maybe it comes down to trying to fit everything in. There are so many classes that committees have to work into the schedule. The sessions can get long and the breaks in between very short. I have heard talk of Grand Nationals adding an extra day to an already very long show. Just a thought.

I’m always glad to see people finding ways to enjoy their horses. Personally, for me, showmanship has no appeal… didn’t like it as a kid & see no reason to start now :)

I guess I’m the only person who likes showmanship LOL. I guess it would be nice to have more classes to enter at shows since they are already so expensive. Growing up I was the kid who did showmanship, Hunter Pleasure, Western pleasure, Hunter Eq., Western Eq and both of the metal classes LOL my poor horse!

Up here in Maine our all-breed shows offer adult showmanship. I think it’s a big win when it brings in more than 2 entries, though.
