Some of the crowds from 2007

This is not a horse show or sales auction but an old-fashioned horse fair and open house. This is an all breed event and a very low keyed, fun day from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday for the public.  And we are promoting the breed to all breed owners for the day.Mini learnign how to drive for the day

As of today we already have 2 Paso Fino barns, 1 Mini barn, 1 Andalusian barn, 7 Morgan barns, 2 Quarter Horse barns, 2 Arabian barns, 1 Appaloosa barn, 2 Welsh barns, cob and ponies, and more horses entering daily. Purebreds and part-breds are welcome of any breed or size as well as mules. The schedule is constantly being updated as we add new things so check back often to our event web site.

Exhibitors enter for less than $20 per horse and there are no commissions if you sell your own horses to reach around 400+ people in the audience for the day.  If exhibitors bring their own stalls then it is FREE to attend plus the $5 fee for the Liberty.  What are you waiting for?

To get directions and event schedule, see horses already entered, enter your own horses or see past event photos on our large event web site: http://www.spokanehorsesale.com   This event is co-sponsored by the Spokane Morgan Club, http://www.spokanemorganclub.org

  1. Sounds like a very fun event! If I lived closer then I would certainly be there. If you can, post some picks of the event. I am sure there are many of us that would like to see them.

  2. I will be sure to post pictures from this year’s event here.

I do have all three years past event pictures at http://www.spokanehorsesale.com This year I have three photographers on board including myself so we will be getting a ton of fun photos. I mostly take the crowd shots for articles that I write and publicity to drag in media when I write press releases because I am running the whole circus, but I will be taking horse pictures from horseback this year too. I think I have enough volunteers I can ride some of my own horses during the day.

And the Open house is always a very fun and laid back event to kick off the show season in the Inland Pacific Northwest. I love that most of the same exhibitors come back every year and tell their customers. coworkers and family and drag their friends to come as well.

This very fun event is not that hard to manage or plan if anyone wants to have one in their area please get in touch with me. I try to just break even every year and to cover my expenses, but a local Morgan club could charge more and make some money doing it if they appeal to all breeds not just Morgan owners. It is just two ladies who plan and execute this event each year plus we get some 4H kids as volunteers to help with gates, etc.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Sincerely,
